Maintenance Technician to join a Food & Beverage company in West Seneca, NY.
This is a Permanent Role.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, machinery, and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be available to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), including weekends and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose mechanical equipment issues by observing performance and consulting with operators and production personnel.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), before performing repairs.
- Install, maintain, and replace mechanical components and equipment parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Install and maintain industrial piping, valves, pressure regulators, gauges, and related equipment.
- Repair and maintain facility structures and equipment as needed.
- Program, troubleshoot, and repair automated production equipment and control systems.
- Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, drills, and grinders to fabricate or repair components.
- Perform welding and cutting operations to support maintenance activities.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or industrial repair experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety procedures, maintenance manuals, and technical documents.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements- Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and use of hand tools.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Frequent lifting up to 55 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds, with assistance as needed.
- Ability to work around operating machinery and production equipment.
- Must meet vision requirements necessary for inspection, troubleshooting, and repair work.
Work Environment- Manufacturing and industrial setting with moving mechanical equipment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, outdoor conditions, noise, fumes, and cleaning chemicals.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety policies.
