About the Role

As a Software Engineer in this contingent assignment, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of moderately complex software solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional engineering partners, review technical challenges, and support planning efforts for large-scale initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical depth, and the ability to work within established engineering standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of software engineering solutions for moderately complex projects.
• Analyze technical challenges that require evaluation of multiple variables and propose effective, scalable solutions.
• Contribute to resolving engineering issues by applying solid knowledge of engineering practices, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Support planning and execution of larger engineering initiatives by delivering assigned components and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with client and internal engineering teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements and deliverables.
• Review existing systems and provide recommendations for optimization, improvement, and best-practice alignment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience through:
  • Prior full-time work
  • Consulting engagements
  • Technical training
  • Military experience
  • Relevant academic background

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with:
  • Java / J2EE
  • Python
  • APIGEE / API management
  • Data analytics and data-driven engineering
• Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative, client-facing environments.
