CLOUD NATIVE ENGINEER SME

Our work depends on a Senior Systems Engineer joining our team to support a GDIT program that we are the prime and is located at Annapolis Junction, MD.
** You will have the opportunity to "modernize your skillsets" in a "dynamic team environment" by working with "cutting-edge technologies" to include AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Microservices, Cassandra, Java 25, Spring Boot/Cloud/Data, etc. **
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Opportunity to lead and provide ongoing development, maintenance, support, and software enhancements for production user facing applications
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work alongside other engineers on the team to sustain and advance our organization's capabilities.
Maintain and upgrade the Kubernetes clusters on the systems.
Continuous monitoring of all systems.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college/university

Requires 15+ years of related experience
Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Linux
PREFERRED SKILLSETS:

Expert level knowledge in data orchestration

Senior experience working within the IC and DoD community

The likely salary range for this position is $204,000 - $276,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
