Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Reviewing contracts for facility repair construction projects and recommend approval or disapproval of proposals; 2) Conducting site visits to identify requirements of work request and determine condition of facilities prior to initiating design for projects; 3) Planning and writing statement (scope) of work for project requirements, i.e., design feasibility, cost variables/estimates, economic maintenance aspects; and 4) Using Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and estimating software packages to create schematic drawings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
