The position will play a key role in two primary areas. First, desktop support including assisting on network/infrastructure, user/stakeholder support, desk setup, and conference room support. Second, system administration for various business applications including ISO Certificate Management and various Application provisioning/administration.
Responsibilities:
Serve as first point of contact to all users to support, troubleshoot, and resolve all IT Service Desk related issues.
Support in multiple capacity for network, telephony, computers, printers, conference room audio/video and approved software.
Troubleshooting hardware/software issues on workstations, laptops, and personal technology devices.
Troubleshoot and support Office 365 applications such as Email, Sharepoint, Teams, Entra, Intune etc
Maintain high-level desktop and system administration responsibilities.
Responsible for maintaining inventory for all Houston based IT infrastructure/equipment/devices.
Act as system administration within various business critical applications to support and drive business value via onboarding/offboarding process, L1 support and triage of issues, and overall customer support for stakeholders. This will include management of ISO certificate/permission process for the various ISO markets we participate in.

ensuring support services are delivered and appropriate service levels achieved.
Knowledge/Experience:
4-5 years of experience in desktop support role for an Energy/Oil & Gas company.
At least 2-3 years experience supporting an oil/gas/power trading environment in either a desktop support or application support role.
Experience with managing a Hybrid Microsoft technology stack environment in a system administration capacity of services that may include SQL, Exchange, AD, Entra, Azure, Intune, Defender and Anti Virus platforms, SSO integrations, and portal based management.
Knowledgeable with business applications such as ETRM or Bid to Bill preferred.
Energy/power industry experience/background preferred.
Ability to interact with stakeholders such as commercial operations, risk, and settlements/accounting department and even C-suite level personnel.
Hands-on experience with installing and managing security certificates, ensuring compliance and secure communications within enterprise environments.
Experience in supporting trade floor or energy trade floor. Provide white-glove IT support to traders and executives, quickly troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to ETRM platform and trading applications such as ICE, Bloomberg, and Reuters.
Familiarity with Office admin portals and policy creation
3-5 years in IT support, with working knowledge of VM Hypervisors, telephony services including PBX, Call workflows, and platforms like Vonage, Ring Central, Cloud 9, SIP trunks, and POTS lines.
Practical skills in SharePoint site building, email/AD sync, Excel automation, Teams room management, server builds from templates; relies on team for advanced implementation.
Management of projects and note-taking to track tickets, vendor coordination, and handoffs in a help-supported structure.
Will have managed 3rd party vendors
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in IT related field, or equivalent experience
Industry certifications a plus
Must be able to lift 50 pounds of IT equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Ability to perform multiple IT related functions to support and improve overall user experiences.
