About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to join a collaborative and close-knit software development team. This individual will play an important role in validating software functionality, improving user experiences, and supporting the continued growth of a comprehensive operations platform used across billing, financial management, GIS mapping, provisioning, and hosted services.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with developers, support teams, and business stakeholders while gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings a technical background, strong communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers, support teams, and stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure software features meet business requirements and user expectations
  • Perform quality assurance testing on new features, enhancements, and existing functionality
  • Identify, document, and track software issues while working with development teams toward resolution
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned functional areas within the software suite
  • Assist with the development and refinement of testing standards, QA processes, and automated testing initiatives
  • Participate in feature discovery, design discussions, and product planning sessions
  • Create clear and thorough release documentation and support software deployment activities
  • Provide internal training and knowledge sharing on new and existing product functionality
  • Help drive continuous improvements in product quality, performance, and user experience

Project Impact

  • Support a mission-critical billing platform that serves as a primary revenue-generating product
  • Contribute to the delivery of an industry-leading end-to-end broadband and utility operations solution
  • Improve software quality and customer experience through effective testing and validation practices
  • Help scale QA processes as the organization continues to grow
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to influence product direction and feature development

Required Qualifications

  • Technical background with the ability to understand software functionality and development concepts
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Experience with quality assurance, software testing, or related technical functions
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software testing methodologies and QA best practices
  • Exposure to test case creation, defect tracking, and software release processes
  • Experience contributing to automated testing initiatives

Work Environment

  • Onsite position located in Mitchell, SD
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Collaborative team environment with approximately 10 team members
  • Two-step interview process including a hiring manager interview and onsite team interview
