Lead the Delivery of a Rapidly Growing Data Center Portfolio

This executive leadership position will oversee the end-to-end construction and delivery of a growing portfolio of large-scale data center campuses throughout the United States.

This individual will serve as the senior construction delivery authority for North America, providing strategic leadership, portfolio governance, financial oversight, and operational direction across multiple complex, capital-intensive developments. The role will lead regional delivery teams and collaborate closely with development, design, engineering, finance, operations, environmental health and safety, sustainability, sales, customers, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate has successfully led multi-site, multibillion-dollar mission-critical construction portfolios and brings deep expertise in data center delivery, CSA and MEP construction, CAPEX management, contractor strategy, and executive stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the North American delivery strategy across active and future U.S. data center campuses.

  • Oversee the complete construction lifecycle from preconstruction handoff through contractor selection, construction, power delivery, commissioning, project closeout, and turnover to operations.

  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing regional delivery organization consisting of internal leaders, campus-based teams, consultants, and third-party resources.

  • Establish consistent governance, delivery processes, project controls, reporting standards, and risk-management practices across multiple markets.

  • Maintain accountability for regional CAPEX performance, including budgeting, forecasting, estimating, cost controls, variance analysis, and cost-driver transparency.

  • Provide executive-level reporting on portfolio performance, schedules, budgets, risks, opportunities, and critical delivery milestones.

  • Direct regional contractor and vendor strategies, including contractor qualification, master service agreements, scopes of work, procurement strategies, and risk allocation.

  • Oversee complex CSA and MEP construction programs while ensuring constructability, schedule integrity, quality, safety, and operational readiness.

  • Identify and mitigate portfolio-level risks involving permitting, labor availability, supply chain constraints, utility coordination, power delivery, cost escalation, and schedule performance.

  • Partner with development, design, engineering, and project controls teams to identify cost-optimization and schedule-acceleration opportunities.

  • Advance the use of prefabrication, modular construction, alternate delivery methods, and repeatable design solutions to improve speed, scalability, and cost certainty.

  • Champion a proactive safety culture across all construction sites and reinforce safety as a core organizational value.

  • Ensure construction delivery supports environmental, sustainability, and corporate responsibility commitments.

  • Serve as the senior regional delivery representative with customers, hyperscalers, strategic partners, contractors, manufacturers, and executive stakeholders.

  • Support leasing and sales pursuits through customer engagement, construction-related proposal responses, schedule commitments, and delivery planning.

  • Ensure project teams consistently use platforms such as Procore and Primavera P6 as reliable sources of project information.

  • Promote collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and the sharing of lessons learned across campuses, phases, and global delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience may be considered.

  • 15+ years of experience delivering large-scale, capital-intensive construction programs.

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience overseeing major construction teams or portfolios.

  • Extensive mission-critical or data center construction experience is required.

  • Demonstrated success leading multi-site, multibillion-dollar construction portfolios.

  • Deep understanding of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction.

  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, commissioning, power delivery, contractor management, and large-scale project delivery models.

  • Significant experience managing CAPEX budgets, cost forecasting, contracts, commercial strategy, and project risk.

  • Proven ability to lead geographically distributed teams and create consistent execution standards across multiple locations.

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence customers, senior leaders, investors, contractors, and strategic partners.

  • Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization with evolving priorities.

  • Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, or comparable construction and scheduling platforms.

  • Ability to travel approximately 30–50% to project sites, partner locations, manufacturers, and vendor facilities.
