General Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include:- Assess hardware, track and help manage deployment, print mapping, and Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) activities to support Epic deployment
- Conduct future state walkthroughs with department leads and stakeholders to develop hardware design and technical requirements
- Break down gathered information into detailed data sources for deployment, purchasing, and testing teams
- Design and build workstation and printer mapping in Epic
- Coordinate between various IT teams to ensure deployment completion and TDR readiness
- Create TDR test plans and technical documentation
- Track TDR progress and issues; follow up with teams for resolution
- Report TDR progress and status to leadership
- Coordinate user groups, project teams, and leadership, including scheduling meetings, managing minutes, and follow-up activities
- Present concepts clearly and explain technical design issues to non-technical audiences
- Contribute effectively within a fast-paced team environment while collaborating across teams for deployment and testing
- Work within timelines and resource constraints defined by the PMO
- Maintain current Epic certification (current or one version prior)
- Perform additional duties as required
- Collect and transform large quantities of information into meaningful business requirements
- Develop and modify requirements documentation for the design and implementation of clinical information systems
- Analyze and document business requirements and processes using conceptual data models, process flowcharts, and technical specifications
- Convert gathered information into details including data sources, user types, interface components, reporting needs, and administrative system needs
- Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues, and non-functional requirements
- Provide project management teams with identified risks and assist in developing solutions
- Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups; execute follow-up activities
- Ensure defined requirements are accounted for and quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards
- Document changes through standard change control processes
- Plan, coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and deployments
- Perform end user and application support, including resolution of application defects
- Develop and execute project presentations
- Provide training, mentorship, supervision, and direction to Junior Clinical Business Analysts and other team members
- Lead process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
- Interview Junior Clinical Business Analysts, Level I and II Analysts, consultants, and other team members
- Work beyond regularly scheduled hours as required
- Maintain approximately 80% remote and up to 20% on-site presence, with ability to report onsite within 48 hours when required
Qualifications:- Epic Certification in any major module required
- Good understanding of printing, Epic end user hardware needs, and related workflows
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- 2–5 years' experience with Epic EMR and/or other clinical applications
- Experience assessing, designing, developing, and implementing corporate-wide clinical systems
- Experience collecting, defining, and managing requirements for clinical information systems
- Experience optimizing project scope, benefits, and risks while managing stakeholder expectations
