Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solution Architect for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for architecture activities and decisions for a suite of related applications within the Payments domain. This position has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Define the architectural vision and design for large, complex solutions, which align with the enterprise architecture strategy for the Payments domain
- Describe the solution intent and associated operating environment, evaluate system impacts, and determine the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces
- Assist with end-to-end solution design and define non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new features
- Ensure a solution is fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions
- Establish and lead container design and deployment strategies
- Mentor teams in using Cloud-native design and Domain Driven Design
- Liaise with and advise Technology leadership and Product Owners in all aspects of application design and development
Requirements: - At least 20 years of experience in information technology, with 2 years in financial services, and 15+ years of solution architecture experience
- Expertise in microservices architecture, cloud migrations, and delivering architectures for high throughput, low latency, zero downtime, and zero data loss
- Deep understanding of DDD, distributed systems design, integration patterns, microservices architecture, Cloud native, and UML
- Demonstrable experience designing and building applications using microservices, containers, distributed databases, and Kafka
- Experience taking a product from inception through requirements, design, development, implementation, and maintenance
- Proven ability to perform trade-off analysis between scalability, security, resiliency, and availability
- Experience with SW development processes (Agile and Waterfall)
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud service providers
Desired skills: - Understanding of Payments Technology and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Bookkeeping and Ledger Applications
- Knowledge of Banking and Financial Product Processors
- Experience with Blockchain / DLT
Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
