Director, Technology Sourcing

One of our clients in the interactive entertainment industry is building a best-in-class Global Procurement function to power innovation, resiliency, and smart growth across its portfolio of labels. Global Procurement enables strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement operations that help teams move faster-while strengthening vendor governance, cost efficiency, and risk management.

As Director, Technology Sourcing, you will own the strategy and execution for major technology categories including hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, and managed services. Reporting to the Head of Global Procurement, you will partner closely with the CTO and senior technology leaders to align the third-party ecosystem with the company's multi-year technology roadmap. This is a player-coach leadership role: you'll personally run the most complex deals while building scalable processes and mentoring a lean team.

• High visibility and influence partnering directly with the CTO and IT leadership on long-term technology spend strategy

• Ownership of marquee vendor negotiations (e.g., cloud, enterprise software, strategic platforms)

Strategy & stakeholder partnership

• Partner with the CTO and senior technology leadership to develop and execute a multi-year global technology sourcing plan that supports innovation and ensures continuity of service.

• Serve as the primary procurement partner for IT, translating technical and operational needs into clear commercial strategies and measurable outcomes.

• Balance label-specific requirements with enterprise-wide opportunities to drive scale, standardization, and value across a matrixed global organization.

Sourcing execution & negotiations

• Lead high-impact enterprise sourcing initiatives, including RFPs/RFIs, renewals, supplier selections, and contract negotiations.

• Own complex commercial structures across cloud, SaaS, licensing, and managed services-delivering improved terms, pricing, and performance.

• Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that support innovation, value creation, and long-term success.

Risk, governance & cross-functional alignment

• Partner with Legal, Security, and Risk to address concerns across data privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and supply chain continuity.

• Strengthen vendor governance through consistent contracting standards, service-level alignment, and performance management.

Procurement transformation & team leadership

• Champion adoption of the new Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform across IT stakeholder groups, ensuring clear workflows and compliance without slowing the business.

• Lead and mentor a small team (initially one direct report) and support the broader procurement organization through coaching and best-practice sharing.

Domain

• 10+ years of experience in technology sourcing, procurement, IT operations, finance, or related roles, with a track record of delivering business impact.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field (required).

Skills

• Deep understanding of cloud consumption models, software licensing structures, SaaS pricing levers, and the modern technology vendor landscape (including AI-related considerations).

• Strong ability to build and manage TCO models, develop or enable FinOps frameworks, and deliver measurable cost and EBITDA impact.

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management capabilities; comfortable owning multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional communication skills-able to build trust with executives and act as a bridge between IT, Finance, Legal, and Security.
