OTT QA Engineer / Quality Engineer/ Remote

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented OTT QA Engineer / Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and performance of OTT (Over-The-Top) streaming applications across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing video streaming services, identifying defects, and ensuring a seamless viewing experience for users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and automated testing for OTT applications across web, mobile, and Smart TV platforms.

• Test video streaming functionality including playback, buffering, resolution switching, and subtitle/audio features.

• Validate streaming protocols and formats such as HLS, DASH, and DRM-protected content.

• Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.

• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to resolve issues.

• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.

• Ensure compatibility across multiple devices, browsers, and operating systems.

• Participate in release validation and quality assurance processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience in QA testing for OTT, streaming, or media applications.

• Knowledge of video streaming technologies such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, and DRM.

• Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.

• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols and API testing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing Smart TV platforms (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV).

• Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages.

• Experience with performance or load testing tools.
