A rapidly developing SaaS company that focuses on delivering intelligent and sustainable cash management solutions is looking to bring on a Data Architect. You'll play a crucial role in defining enterprise data strategy and building scalable, reliable systems for diverse business needs. This role is hands-on with architecture but also sets standards and guides engineering teams.

Salary: $160k - 180k

3 Days On-Site | Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities

Define and maintain enterprise data architecture across ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers.

Establish architectural standards, modeling frameworks, and governance best practices.

Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to ensure platform reliability and scalability.

Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies to meet business and technical requirements.

Lead design reviews and mentor engineers on architectural best practices.

Ensure platform compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or platform roles.

Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and distributed data systems (Spark, Kafka, Trino).

Advanced SQL and data modeling experience (dimensional, Data Vault, or similar).

Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, version control, and infrastructure-as-code.

Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and observable data systems.

Preferred

Experience with AI/ML data workflows or feature engineering.

Familiarity with orchestration and workflow tools (Airflow, dbt).

Hands-on experience with containerized data platforms (Kubernetes).

Experience in fast-growing tech environments with complex data needs.
