ETL Developer (Azure) – Contract

Position Overview

FutureSoft Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled ETL Developer (Azure) to support a large-scale data integration and analytics initiative for a public-sector client in Georgia. The selected professional will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade data pipelines in a cloud-based environment.

This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a structured, compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory

• Build, optimize, and manage data solutions using Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake

• Develop data transformation and processing solutions using Python, Databricks, and Power BI

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and DevOps best practices

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across systems

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical requirements

• Support data modeling and data warehousing initiatives

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and reviews

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in ETL development

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory

• Strong proficiency in:

  • SQL

  • Azure Synapse

  • Azure Data Lake

  • Azure Functions

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms

• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps methodologies

• Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts

• Experience with Power BI, Databricks, and/or Python for data transformation

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure Boards

• Microsoft Azure certifications (DP-203, AZ-900) preferred
