Software Engineer (Ex-Google)

Responsibilities

Work alongside Google engineers on projects to build new features, improve existing products, contribute to the stability, reliability, and performance of key parts of the gStore eCommerce platform. 

Building backend services in Java (Google Apps Framework on Boq) powering e-commerce sites with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Support highly scalable, low latency, resilient web and mobile applications built on these backend systems.

Build next-generation commerce software platforms that allow customers to buy hardware and subscription products on multiple sites.

Design innovative website capabilities to delight consumers as they learn about and purchase our hardware products.

The Commerce Services team develops critical infrastructure for the Google Store including checkout, cart, and inventory. Preferred Qualifications

You will use standard Google infrastructure to build highly scalable, low latency, resilient backend systems supporting e-commerce sites. You must have experience with Java development. It is helpful (but not required) if you have experience with one or more of the following technologies:

Distributed or parallel algorithms

Database design

E-commerce web sites

Payment processing

Android Apps
