Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Job Title: Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer (12+ Years Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 12+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise database applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, data modeling, ETL processes, and database architecture. Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for high-performance data processing and reporting.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical database solutions.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Develop ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Work closely with business analysts, application developers, and data architects.
• Support production environments and resolve database-related issues.
• Create and maintain database design documents, technical specifications, and deployment procedures.
• Implement data validation, data quality, and data integrity controls.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on database initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for deployment and release activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Oracle Database Development.
• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL programming.
• Extensive experience with:

  • Collections
  • Dynamic SQL
• Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, or higher.
• Expertise in indexing strategies, partitioning, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with ETL/Data Warehousing concepts.
• Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of source control tools such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, or other ETL tools.
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate or data replication technologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Python or Java for database integration.
• Oracle Certification is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Banking, Healthcare, Insurance, Telecom, or Retail domain experience.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects.
• Exposure to Data Lake and Big Data technologies.

Education

• Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
