Job Title: Business Analyst / QA Analyst (Hybrid)

Location: Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid (Onsite for meetings as required)

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile Business Analyst / QA Analyst who brings a balanced mix of business analysis and quality assurance expertise. This role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders, developers, and end users to ensure high-quality solution delivery aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing (50%)

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts to ensure full test coverage
• Execute manual testing and validate applications against business and functional requirements
• Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
• Identify, document, and track defects, performance issues, and usability concerns
• Provide guidance to development teams to ensure solutions align with requirements

Business Analysis (30%)

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and workflows (As-Is / To-Be)
• Conduct requirement elicitation sessions and translate business needs into functional specifications
• Create detailed use cases (standard, alternate, and exception flows)
• Define clear and actionable user acceptance criteria for user stories
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating communication and resolving conflicts

Process Improvement & Automation (20%)

• Identify and document BA/QA processes, standards, and improvement opportunities
• Recommend and define candidates for test automation
• Document test workflows, data dependencies, and automation requirements
• Support implementation of automation using approved tools

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Business Analysis and QA Testing (combined role)
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server
• Experience working within SDLC (Agile – Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience with Visual Studio / TFS / VSTS (Azure DevOps)
• Solid understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
• Experience with .NET applications and ETL processes
• Strong experience with SQL Server (2008 R2 & 2016)
• Hands-on experience with SSIS / SSRS
• Expertise in backend/database testing (indexes, triggers, stored procedures, packages)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with API testing
• Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks
