Summary

Position: AWS Connect Engineer
Location: Remote 
Duration: 6 Months Contract
AWS Connect Engineer will provide hands on technical support for the configuration, enhancement, troubleshooting, and optimization of the Amazon Connect platform. This role works closely with internal technical teams, business stakeholders, and contact center operations to support ongoing platform improvements.
This position is ideal for an engineer who can take approved requirements and translate them into functional Amazon Connect updates while improving stability, performance, and overall user experience within the contact center environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Configure, modify, and optimize Amazon Connect contact flows, queues, routing profiles, prompts, hours of operation, and user settings
  • Support IVR design, call routing logic, and self service workflows to improve customer experience
  • Assist with integrations between Amazon Connect and AWS services such as Lambda, Lex, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and EventBridge
  • Troubleshoot platform issues across call flows, routing, user access, reporting, integrations, and system performance
  • Implement approved changes and enhancements based on business and technical requirements
  • Partner with business users and contact center stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical updates
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of new or updated functionality
  • Document configurations, workflows, technical changes, and support procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, automation, reliability, and customer and agent experience
  • Collaborate with architecture, operations, cloud, security, and application teams
Qualifications:
  • Hands on experience configuring and supporting Amazon Connect in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of contact flows, routing profiles, queues, prompts, IVR logic, agent configuration, and user management
  • Experience troubleshooting Amazon Connect issues across call flow behavior, routing, permissions, reporting, and integrations
  • Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, Lex, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and related integration patterns
  • Ability to gather requirements and implement platform changes with minimal oversight
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to handle complex technical issues
  • Experience supporting cloud based contact center platforms
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders
  • AWS certification or relevant Amazon Connect experience is preferred
  • Experience with omni channel contact center environments including voice, chat, messaging, and self service is preferred
  • Experience integrating with platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise systems is preferred
  • Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code, CI CD processes, or structured change management is preferred
  • Experience supporting contact center modernization or migration efforts is preferred
