We have an urgent need for a Senior Planning Engineer for a Remote location, with the flexibility to work remotely while supporting strategic planning and network expansion initiatives across key markets in the United States. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about driving large-scale telecom infrastructure growth and improving network performance through innovative planning solutions.

The Senior Planning Engineer will be part of the Strategic Planning team, focusing on expansion and market planning, while developing collaborative solutions to enhance network efficiency and drive revenue growth. The role involves working closely with Account Teams and Solutions Engineers to design efficient architecture solutions for new customer opportunities and network expense recovery. Responsibilities include improving network performance by addressing latency challenges, optimizing owned versus leased assets, and supporting deployment of new technologies. The engineer will identify high-growth expansion markets, design near-net opportunities, and create detailed service delivery plans including physical and network layer designs, maps, diagrams, and cost estimates. Additionally, the role requires supporting implementation phases through capital budget management, variance tracking, and network design reviews, while collaborating with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong telecom domain experience along with expertise in tools such as ArcGIS or similar platforms for map-based network design and planning. Strong analytical capabilities using Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, are essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external vendors. Experience in project management methodologies or process improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma is highly preferred, along with the ability to drive efficiency, innovation, and scalable planning solutions within complex network environments.
