Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA) to lead business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design for enterprise Pega implementations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and development teams to translate business needs into scalable Pega solutions following Pega best practices and the Center-out methodology.

This is a functional leadership role requiring strong expertise in business architecture, case management, Agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business discovery sessions and requirement gathering workshops with stakeholders.
• Analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into Pega case types, user stories, business rules, and process flows.
• Design end-to-end business processes using Pega Case Management and BPM best practices.
• Collaborate with Lead System Architects (LSAs), Solution Architects, Product Owners, and development teams.
• Create functional specifications, process models, wireframes, and acceptance criteria.
• Support Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, UAT, and Production releases.
• Conduct solution walkthroughs and demos with business stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Pega Center-out methodology and implementation best practices.
• Mentor Business Architects and junior functional consultants.
• Drive continuous business process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analysis or Business Architecture experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Pega Business Architect or Lead Business Architect.
• Strong experience with Pega BPM and Case Management.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Expertise in creating:
  • User Stories
  • Process Flows
  • Functional Specifications
  • Business Rules
  • Acceptance Criteria
• Experience with Pega App Studio and Case Type Design.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
