Job DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of 4-6 employees at a steel pipe manufacturing facility. This position oversees general building maintenance, facility repairs, and special projects requiring practical problem-solving and knowledge of multiple skilled trades.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with mechanical aptitude, maintenance experience, and the ability to find creative solutions to challenging problems. This is a working supervisor position, requiring someone who is comfortable directing a team and getting their hands dirty.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and work alongside a team of 4-6 maintenance employees.
- Oversee general building maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Develop practical solutions and modifications to address unique facility and production needs.
- Coordinate special projects, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely completion.
- Identify maintenance priorities and organize daily workloads.
- Assist with hands-on repairs, installations, and facility modifications.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications- Previous supervisory, crew lead, or team leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience in building maintenance, industrial facilities, construction, or related trades.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical repairs, or similar disciplines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and lead employees effectively.
- Willingness to perform hands-on work alongside the team.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
An engineering degree or mastery of every skilled trade is not required. We are looking for a resourceful, mechanically inclined leader who can solve problems, manage people, and keep a busy manufacturing facility in good working order.
