Product Owner (SAFe Agile)

• Pay: $50-65/hr
• 100% Onsite role
• 1-year assignment with possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget
• This position will be serving as the SAFe Agile Product Owner for a dedicated software development team supporting medical instruments used in pathology labs.
• You will be responsible for owning and managing the product backlog, including creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing work, and formally accepting deliverables.
• You will be responsible for acting as the voice of the customer, translating complex user workflows and design principles into customer-centric software solutions.
• You will also be responsible for guiding project execution by partnering closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
• You will also be responsible for providing servant leadership and coaching to a self-organizing Agile team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.

• 5-10+ years of experience in a software development environment, including product ownership responsibilities
• Direct experience working as a Product Owner within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is highly preferred!
• Experience creating, managing, and prioritizing product backlog
• Project management experience, particularly within a software delivery environment preferred!
• Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries preferred!
• Familiarity with Agile and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
• Agile-related certifications (SAFe Agile, Product Owner, etc) strongly preferred
