Description

CME Associates is seeking a Municipal Engineer to join our dynamic team in East Brunswick, NJ. As a Municipal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Collaborate with senior engineers to assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects, including site assessments, feasibility studies, and design development.
  • Design and Analysis: Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to develop comprehensive design solutions. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, reports, and technical documentation to support project deliverables and client communication.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on engineering designs and reports to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related inquiries, provide updates, and facilitate project approvals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License: Must hold a valid Professional Engineer license in the state of New Jersey or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in site development, land planning, or transportation projects.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information to clients and team members effectively.
