Information Systems Analyst
Location: Laurel, MD (Local/Nearby)
Duration: Contract to Hire/Full time.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Information Systems Associate to join our IT/IS team. This position is central to the development, maintenance, and optimization of our core business software systems. The role requires a strong mix of coding skills, system analysis, and internal customer support to ensure the operational efficiency and integrity of our IT environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Software Development & Maintenance:
Write well-designed, testable code and produce specifications to determine operational feasibility.
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
Document and maintain software functionality.
Ability to write "quick and dirty" programs using the Progress language.
System Analysis & Testing:
Perform software systems testing with a focus on procedures and programming.
Generate AD HOC reports based on business needs and data requests.
Internal Support:
Provide customer service oriented support, with internal customers consisting of other organizational departments, branch managers, and branch-level staff.
Work independently as well as with 3rd party software vendors to resolve complex issues.
Performs other related IT duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant IT / IS experience.
Technical Skills (Required):
Knowledge of software systems and programming languages.
Understanding of basic programming languages and database architecture.
Experience with ERP programming.
Technical Skills (Preferred/Plus):
Experience with Progress Language is a plus.
Experience with Infor SX.e (WEBUI) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
