Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Mainframe Top Secret Security Administrator to support legacy systems and mainframe modernization initiatives. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for mainframe security and z/OS administration, ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable operation of mission-critical systems.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Top Secret Security (TSS), z/OS administration, certificate management, access controls, and mainframe operational support in highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the SME for Mainframe Top Secret Security (TSS) to maintain system security, compliance, and audit readiness
- Perform advanced z/OS systems administration, including configuration, upgrades, break/fix support, and ongoing maintenance
- Manage user access controls, security profiles, and certificate renewals (TLS/SSL, RSA keys, SFTP, FTPS)
- Provide technical support for system releases, upgrades, and infrastructure changes
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and conduct root cause analysis
- Support mainframe production control, scheduled jobs, and batch processing
- Provide end-user support for ISV tools such as BlueZone
- Coordinate with network, customer support, and application teams to ensure stable daily operations
- Support data integration and change data capture processes (IMS, VSAM) as needed
- Contribute expertise to both legacy system operations and mainframe transformation initiatives
Required Qualifications

- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Top Secret Security (TSS)
- 5+ years of hands-on z/OS administration experience
- 5+ years working with:
- JES
- z/OS UNIX System Services (OMVS)
- Storage Management Subsystem (SMS)
- 3+ years of experience with TLS configuration, including certificates, SSL, RSA keys, SFTP, and FTPS
- Strong understanding of mainframe security, compliance, auditing, and risk mitigation
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with performance monitoring and initial performance analysis
- Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration
- Experience with REXX scripting
