We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Construction Estimator with a focus on Commercial Plumbing .The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates that reflect the costs of plumbing projects and process pipping. This includes materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the project. The role involves a high level of interaction with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients. Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct detailed mechanical construction cost estimates for commercial plumbing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs.
2. Prepare and submit competitive project proposals and bids in a timely manner.
3. Utilize take-off procedures to determine quantities and costs of materials.
4. Develop comprehensive project budgets and forecasts, and monitor project costs to ensure adherence to budget.
5. Conduct cost analysis and track project performance, identifying and reporting on variances as they arise.
6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates.
7. Review architectural plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and challenges.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies to ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction estimation, specifically in commercial plumbing.
2. Demonstrated experience in take-off procedures, preparing proposals, and project cost management.
3. Proficient in budgeting and forecasting, with a strong ability to conduct cost analysis.
4. In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, including materials, installation processes, and regulatory standards.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
7. Proficient in using estimating software and other industry-related technologies.
8. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
9. Professional certification in cost estimation or a related field is a plus.
