Role Overview

BMO Financial is seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst with strong manual testing experience to support the validation of ATM applications, patches, and system upgrades. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), excellent communication skills, and experience with defect tracking and test documentation.

This role requires close collaboration with QA teams, developers, and production support teams to ensure high-quality releases and system stability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases for ATM applications, system patches, and application upgrades.

  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.

  • Validate ATM transactions, screen flows, and error scenarios to ensure system accuracy and reliability.

  • Document test results, maintain test evidence, and log defects in defect tracking tools.

  • Perform defect retesting and support post-deployment validation activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.


Required Qualifications

  • 1?4 years of experience in QA / Manual Testing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

    • Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

    • Test case design and execution

    • Bug/Defect lifecycle

  • Proven experience writing and executing detailed manual test cases.

  • Hands-on experience performing functional, regression, and smoke testing.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.

  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or ALM.
