Summary

Associate Mechanical Engineer

Maximize equipment availability and safely maintain critical manufacturing systems as a Process Mechanic, ensuring the technical precision needed to deliver life-saving medicines.

This is a fully site?based role. Working together in person supports close, real?time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Shift Availability There are 2 Day Shift roles remaining:

  • Front Day Shift: Sunday ? Wednesday (Wednesday is the rotating 3-4-3 day)

  • Back Day Shift: Wednesday ? Saturday (Wednesday is the rotating 3-4-3 day)

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate?s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

  • Maximize manufacturing equipment availability to support the greater production of life-saving medicines.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology, and Engineering teams to ensure optimal performance of systems and fast issue resolution.

  • Execute hands-on maintenance, including the repair and repetitive maintenance of valves, centrifuges, pumps, autoclaves, washers, tanks, and associated piping.

  • Manage safety and field operations, including executing work at heights, confined space entries, and ensuring strict compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) policies.

  • Maintain precise, detail-oriented documentation in accordance with cGMP, SOP, and CMMS digital tools to ensure Right-First-Time operations.

  • Support business readiness by assisting with systems start-up, validation, and the identification and organization of spare parts.

  • Foster professional growth within the team by training and mentoring other mechanics in both group and individual settings.


What we are looking for:

  • Experience: 5?6 years of relevant industrial process maintenance and systems experience.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID), rebuild complex assemblies (pumps, valves, bearing assemblies), and navigate CMMS systems.

  • Compliance & Detail: Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and safety inspection protocols for rigging and fall protection equipment.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodations.

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent transferable technical training/experience.

  • License: Valid driver?s license.
