Position Summary
In the Operations Manager role, you will lead oversight and execution of our broad heavy civil project portfolio. Your guidance ensures timely, budgeted completion while upholding top-tier safety and quality benchmarks.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic oversight for all construction-related operational activities.

  • Partner with Management to uphold structure, support systems, administrative methodologies addressing quality, safety, environmental factors, subcontractor agreements, procurement, cost control, scheduling, and estimating processes.

  • Sustain robust relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Work alongside project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address challenges and enhance project outcomes.

  • Track project progress, metrics, and implement proactive steps to counter risks and delays.

  • Promote training development in Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, Environmental standards, and Continuous Improvement.

  • Aid Operations in incident/near-miss probes, deficiency corrections, and action plans.

  • Guarantee governance processes across the business unit for HSE compliance, key regulations, and legislation monitoring.

  • Verify Industry/Site procedures align with Global Standards and contract needs; cover all new contracts/sites via management.

  • Standardize company operating procedures and documents for uniform application at every level.

  • Serve as operations'' key contact for quality matters.

  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts (cost reductions, productivity gains, quality/safety/environmental enhancements).

  • Uphold superior customer satisfaction and ties with essential personnel.

  • Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset and integrate related concepts in operations.

  • Provide statperformance updates to Management and Site Managers as needed.

  • Confirm implementation of determined changes/actions company-wide.

  • Ensure timely, effective rollout of corrective measures.

  • Offer quality expertise to Management and staff.

  • Prioritize safety—perform tasks safely, efficiently, accurately.

  • Additional unlisted duties may be assigned anytime.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Established expertise in Heavy Highway, Site work, underground utilities, concrete, and asphalt construction.

  • Skilled in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Adaptability to dynamic settings.

  • Effective negotiation, coordination, and planning capabilities.

  • Advanced problem-solving and communication abilities.

  • Capacity to juggle priorities, prioritize customer needs, and sustain positive service orientation.

  • Thorough grasp of safety policies/regulations for self and team safety.

  • Acute safety awareness and hazard detection.

  • Proficiency in communicating safety directives to colleagues.

  • Clear-headed safety focus amid tools, equipment, driving, or operations.

  • Mandatory PPE usage per role.

  • As management, model PPE/safety adherence, coach others, enforce rules, and apply discipline in supervised areas.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor''s Degree in relevant field (or equivalent heavy civil construction experience/technical skills).

  • At least 5 years industry tenure; prior management/supervisory roles preferred.

  • Valid Driver''s License with clean record (essential).
