The Sr. Associate I, Instrumentation and Calibration Technical Support position is primarily responsible for installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing instruments that monitor environmental conditions. You will diagnose faults, maintain instruments, and support custom instrument design, requiring technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and reliability. This role is 100% on-site in our Ft. Worth, TX location and key responsibilities include:
  • Apply technical knowledge to perform tasks and support project goals effectively
  • Install, calibrate, test, and repair instruments and technologies monitoring environmental conditions within a manufacturing facility
  • Inspect and test the operation of instruments and devices such as oscilloscopes, calipers, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers to diagnose faults
  • Install and maintain control and measurement instruments on plant equipment
  • Test and measure heat, light, voltage, amperage, weight, vacuum, magnetic resistance, or various content measurements to ensure conformance with quality standards and controls
  • Work with engineers to design and build custom instrument and control devices where required
  • Follow procedures with some decision-making authority, requiring job-related training, attention to detail, and reliability
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, protocols, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring quality control
  • Follow safety procedures for proper handling and disposal of laboratory waste where applicable
  • Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements
  • Contribute to overall compliance and continuous improvement of laboratory systems

What You'll Bring to Alcon:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English
  • 3 Years of Relevant Experience

  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
