We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer with extensive experience in Analytics.
PURPOSE OF THIS JOB
We are looking for an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our BI & Analytics team, serving all functions across the business, including insight teams, business analysts and Data Science.
The candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, and the position requires a blend of technical expertise in data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with Snowflake, DBT, Power BI, SQL, and Python to develop, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytical solutions.
Experience with coaching and guiding junior and mid-level analytics engineers, participate in innovative activities and contribute to building out the roadmap Is essential.
The engineer will master interaction with senior business stakeholders, transforming business requirements into technical solutions.
Service mindedness, white-glove-service -approach, communication skills and pro-activity are key skills required for the right candidate.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
8+ years of experience with analytics engineering. Last 2+ as a senior.
4+ years of experience with tools such as Snowflake, DBT, Airflow/Dagster, Power BI Alteryx.
Deep understanding of SAP BW data models, Bex is a strong plus.
Proven track record of analytics implementations.
Strong understanding of data lake principles, pipelines, and data modeling.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business users at all levels, particularly senior leadership.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to addressing challenges.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
High level of responsibility and accountability, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Willingness to travel as needed for on-boarding and collaboration with global teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Roadmap:
Participate in driving and contributing to the Analytics roadmap, addressing short, medium, and long-term business needs.
Innovate and enhance our data lakes and data fabric, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Engage with senior leadership to understand and address their Analytics needs.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements Gathering:
Acquire in-depth knowledge of business processes and systems within the organization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define scope and document requirements.
Architectural Design:
Create high-level architecture documents under the guidance of the analytics architect.
Design an agile, resilient analytics architecture that integrates seamlessly with enterprise solutions.
Present design proposals and constructively implement feedback.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Exemplify outstanding collaboration within teams, across functional areas, and platforms.
Manage consultants, extracting and defining best practice, maintaining balance of skillsets, and increasing productivity.
Be inspirational to colleagues. Support them on their path to growth.
Provide technical guidance to colleagues and consultants as needed.

SQL & Python:
Develop complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
Ability to plan, trace and other techniques for optimization.
Utilize Python for data wrangling, analysis, and the development of custom data solutions.
Snowflake
Develop and maintain scalable data models, views, and secure data sharing mechanisms using Snowflake.
Leverage DBT and GIT to follow the CI/CD cycle for development
Optimize Snowflake virtual warehouse performance and cost efficiency.
Leverage advanced features such as Snowpipe, dynamic tables, tasks, and streams to build real-time data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
Manage data access and governance using role-based access controls and masking policies.
Amazon Glue, S/3, Azure:
Design and orchestrate serverless ETL workflows using AWS Glue and integrate with Snowflake.
Ingest structured and unstructured data from Amazon S3 into Snowflake.
Pipelines:
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows to ingest, process, and transform large datasets.
Experience with usage of cloud-engineering for scaling pipelines and improving performance.
Data-Lakes:
Implement and maintain data lakes in Snowflake, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Monitor & Improve:
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data quality and resolving issues promptly.
Work with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements in data processes and analytics.
Power BI:
Develop and publish enterprise-grade dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Build and develop strong semantic models with collaborative CI/CD based development.
Build Power BI solutions on Snowflake.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate KPIs and analytical goals into intuitive visualizations and data storytelling assets.
Apply DAX and Power Query (M) to perform advanced calculations, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Collaboration with Business Analysts and Data Science:
Ability to understand data requirements and deliver data/pipelines as needed.
HQ:
Build relationships with HQ senior analytics engineers and data scientists.
Align, drive and review solutions in close collaboration with HQ.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.
