Experience: 6–12+ years
Looking for a Data Governance Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric and/or Purview to implement enterprise data governance for large-scale programs.
Key Skills:
Hands-on experience with:
· Microsoft Fabric governance (workspaces, domains, access, sharing)
· Microsoft Purview (catalog, classification, lineage, glossary)
Strong understanding of:
· Data lineage, metadata management, business glossary
· Data classification, sensitivity labeling, governance workflows
Experience with:
· Data governance implementation (stewardship, ownership, policies)
· RBAC / access control (Azure AD / Entra or similar)
· Cloud data platforms / lakehouse architectures
Responsibilities
· Implement data governance using Fabric + Purview
· Configure catalog, lineage, classification, and access controls
· Define and enforce data governance policies and workflows
· Enable data product governance (certification, sharing controls)
· Align governance with security, compliance, and platform teams
Good to Have
· Experience integrating Purview with enterprise tools (Atlan/Collibra)
· Familiarity with Data Mesh governance patterns and data product operating models
· Experience implementing data quality governance tooling and scorecards
· Knowledge of privacy/security frameworks (ISO, SOC2 concepts, GDPR-like principles)
