Senior GIS Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Kansas City, MO that is seeking a Senior Geospatial Project Manager with a strong combination of leadership, project management expertise, and technical knowledge. This role is responsible for leading geospatial consulting projects from early planning through execution and closeout, while ensuring quality delivery, financial performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

You will oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and risk; coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support business development efforts including proposals and client engagement. The role includes developing project execution plans, managing QA/QC processes, preparing project status reports, and ensuring proper documentation and closeout.

This position also serves as a leadership and mentorship role, supporting the growth of less experienced team members and promoting collaboration, technical excellence, and a culture of safety and quality. Technical oversight includes guiding GIS-related implementations, data integration, analytics, and solution design, as well as resolving technical challenges and ensuring deliverables meet contractual and performance requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited program
* 10+ years of relevant professional experience
* Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and best practices
* Experience leading technical aspects of consulting or project-based engagements
* Background working with complex, multi-disciplinary teams in infrastructure or industrial environments
* Understanding of general business and financial principles related to project delivery
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
