IT Support Specialist - Contract

South Austin, TX

Overview

We're hiring an IT Support Specialist for a 3-6 month contract (with potential to extend/convert). This is a hands-on, user-facing role supporting Level 1-2 issues for a global workforce across ticket queues and walk-up support.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of IT Support Specialist experience (enterprise environment preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with:
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Windows 11
    • macOS (Mac laptops)
  • Experience with printer troubleshooting (connectivity, setup, downtime)
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment handling both:
    • Ticket queues (ServiceNow or similar)
    • Walk-up / in-person support
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1-2 technical support for end users
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues (O365, Windows, Mac, printers)
  • Manage tickets via ServiceNow, chat, email, and walk-ups
  • Support asset management and device recovery
  • Assist with user access and account support (AD)
  • Support global users, including occasional off-hours needs

Work Environment

  • 4 days onsite in South Austin (1 day remote)
  • M - F 8am - 5pm CST (occasional off-hours as needed)
  • Blend of ticket-based and walk-up support
  • High-volume, collaborative support team

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
