  • The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on knowledge of the Denodo Data Virtualization Platform and be capable of functioning as the go-to technical resource for both ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist with Denodo deployments, upgrades, and environment configurations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, including production incidents
  • Develop and manage virtual data models, data sources, and data services within Denodo

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Denodo security posture, including a full audit of existing roles, permissions, and access patterns
  • Lead the decentralization of environment management away from a centralized single admin ID model in production
  • Design and implement a team-based access model that grants individual teams ownership of and appropriate permissions to their own objects in production
  • Enable individual teams to perform their own end-to-end deployments through production with appropriate guardrails and access controls
  • Identify and remediate gaps or risks uncovered during the security assessment
  • Perform cleanup of legacy, redundant, or unnecessary roles and permissions across the platform
  • Develop and document the target-state security and access model, including role definitions, permission structures, and deployment governance guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Denodo Platform
  • Strong expertise in Denodo administration, deployment, and configuration
  • Experience with data virtualization concepts and enterprise data architecture
  • Proficiency in writing VQL (Virtual Query Language) and working with Denodo's data catalog
  • Experience integrating Denodo with various data sources (databases, APIs, cloud platforms, flat files, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Denodo security configuration, role management, and data governance features
  • Experience with Denodo performance monitoring and query optimization
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing role-based access control (RBAC) models within Denodo, including decentralizing access from shared/admin accounts to team-level ownership
  • Hands-on experience conducting security audits within Denodo, including assessment of roles, permissions, and object-level access
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Denodo Platform certification
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices as they relate to Denodo deployments
  • Experience in environments with strict data governance or compliance requirements
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise-level production environments with on-call responsibilities

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available for on-call support outside standard business hours for production incidents

Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
