Introduction:

Our client is seeking a skilled IBM DB2 DBA with experience in Oracle and Snowflake to join their team in New York, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company''s DB2 databases, as well as assisting with Oracle and Snowflake database tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain DB2 databases for optimal performance
  • Assist with Oracle and Snowflake database tasks as needed
  • Implement and maintain database security protocols
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement database solutions
  • Perform database backups and recovery procedures
  • Stay current with industry best practices and trends in database technology

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a DB2 DBA
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake databases
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with Data Guard and PL/SQL

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in IBM DB2 or Oracle databases
  • Experience with database migration projects
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
