As Sr. Data Engineer, you'll work with a cross-functional team to help design and ingest data from different Object Management Systems that support mission operations for our classified customer.
What you'll do:
Work with AI team members to operationalize data pipelines and ML tasks.
Provide day-to-day support of deploying Python-native ML pipelines and perform data engineering tasks to enable AI/ML capabilities.
Present results to a diverse audience in presentation or report form.
Support architectural leadership, technical support, and advisement services to ensure identity management system technologies are integrated and meeting the appropriate security requirements.
Support leadership who engage with executives at a public facing Federal agency and provide subject matter expertise in security architecture and other key domain areas.
What you'll need to succeed:
8+ years of experience in Data/ML engineering
Expert Experience with ETL, data labeling, and data preparation
8+ years experience with at least 2 of the following technologies: Cloudera, DataBricks, Snowflake, NiFi, Python, SQL, Kafka
Expert experience designing, developing, and deploying data solutions in classified AWS cloud environments up to IL6+
Expert experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data architecture and services to be used for AI/ML. Additionally, operationalizing and maintaining AI/ML models in production.
Strong communication skills, ability to communicate technical concepts in both layman and technical terms to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to perform data analytics on program related or system related activities. -This will include assessing performance and manual processes implementing methods/algorithms to automate/optimize
FOR MID LEVEL DATA ENGINEER I (4 years of experience or less than 8)
4+ years of proven experience in data engineering, with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining data ingestion, transformation, and loading pipelines and components
Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying data pipelines leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple classification domains (e.g., IL5 to IL6+)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, to automate deployment of data pipeline cloud infrastructure
Understanding of RMF security principles and hands-on experience implementing security controls for data pipelines in cloud environments
Strong scripting and programming skills in languages such as Go, Python, and Bash
Experience with data pipeline tools and technologies such as Nifi, Hadoop, HDFS, and Kafka. Experience implementing data pipelines in the Cloudera Data Platform environment is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $105.00/hr.
