Project Manager Datacenter Build (Passive Infrastructure)
Role Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of datacenter passive infrastructure works, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and approved designs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Governance
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and success criteria.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure alignment with approved designs, BOQs, and contractual scope.
Execution & Coordination
- Oversee installation of passive infrastructure including structured cabling (copper & fiber), racks, containment systems, cable trays, and pathways.
- Coordinate with civil, MEP, IT, vendors, and site teams to manage dependencies.
- Act as the single point of contact for all project stakeholders.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with datacenter standards (TIA-942, ISO/IEC 11801, ANSI/TIA-568, BICSI).
- Enforce best practices for installation, labeling, testing, and documentation.
- Oversee cable testing, certification, and acceptance.
Schedule, Risk & Financial Control
- Track progress against milestones and manage risks, issues, and changes.
- Monitor project costs, validate vendor claims, and manage variations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate schedule or cost impacts.
Reporting, Handover & Closure
- Provide regular status updates and executive reporting.
- Ensure completion of as-built drawings, test reports, and asset documentation.
- Manage final handover, snag closure, and formal project sign-off.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing datacenter passive infrastructure builds
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, racks, containment, and pathways
- Familiarity with datacenter standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and site coordination skills
- PMP / PRINCE2 / BICSI / CDCP certification preferred
