Full Stack Engineers

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fort Myers, FL that is seeking three experienced Full Stack Engineers to support a growing portfolio of infrastructure-heavy initiatives. These engineers will play a key role in standing up core technical foundations and then owning products end-to-end as projects mature. Strong performers may be reallocated across initiatives as priorities evolve.
This role is well-suited for engineers who thrive in fast-moving environments, are comfortable with ambiguity, and take clear ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and own full-stack applications from initial architecture through delivery
* Stand up backend services and APIs where none currently exist
* Collaborate on defining system patterns, ingress/egress, and infrastructure as projects evolve
* Work across multiple concurrent initiatives (approximately 10-12)
* Operate independently with minimal documentation or hand-holding
* Break down complex problems, execute solutions, and move work forward autonomously

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong full-stack background with a heavy infrastructure mindset
* Experience working in small teams, startups, or early-stage environments
* Comfortable operating with limited structure and evolving requirements
* Self-directed, accountable, and proactive
* Clear sense of ownership from problem definition through execution
* AI Tooling: Experience working with modern AI tools (Claude currently in use)

Backend/Services
* .NET / C#
* Express services
* API design and development
* Python (FastAPI)
* Hands-on server and service development experience

Databases:
* PostgreSQL
* Experience with query-heavy workloads

AI/ML Exposure:
* PyTorch
* NumPy
* LangChain/LangGraph (referred to internally as LangStar)

Nice to Have:
* Experience defining APIs and system architecture from scratch
* Prior exposure to AI-enabled applications or platforms
* Background supporting multiple projects simultaneously

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
