Job Details

Are you a seasoned electrical estimator with a passion for the construction industry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects are key? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Commercial/Design Build team. This role is instrumental in providing accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects, from the initial design phase through to completion. You will be working closely with our project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and reviewing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems in commercial construction projects.
2. Utilizing estimating software such as McCormick and Accubid to generate estimates and proposals.
3. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
4. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
5. Conducting risk analysis and identifying potential cost overruns.
6. Participating in bid reviews and presentations to clients.
7. Leading the budgeting process by developing and updating cost models.
8. Providing guidance and expertise on cost management to the project team.
9. Staying updated with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical estimating.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
2. Proficiency in estimating software such as Excel, McCormick and Accubid.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
6. A proven track record of successful cost management and budgeting.
7. Experience in subcontracting and managing relationships with subcontractors.
8. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
9. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
