Role Summary
We are seeking a FlexSim Simulation Engineer with strong experience in manufacturing and
production line simulations to support the implementation of FlexSim-based plant layout and
production simulations for manufacturing facilities.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with FlexSim modeling, manufacturing process
simulation, and production optimization, and can support software setup, simulation model
development, and training of engineering teams.
This role will work closely with plant engineers and operational teams to simulate production workflows,
identify bottlenecks, and optimize manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
● Install, configure, and set up the FlexSim simulation environment.
● Develop 3D simulation models of manufacturing and production lines using FlexSim.
● Model machines, conveyors, buffers, workstations, and material flows within production
systems.
● Simulate production throughput, cycle times, bottlenecks, and resource utilization.
● Analyze simulation results and propose process optimization recommendations.
● Support factory layout simulations and evaluate different operational scenarios.
● Work with plant engineers to translate real production workflows into simulation models.
● Prepare and run what-if scenarios to evaluate changes in capacity, layout, or production flow.
● Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal engineering teams on how to use FlexSim.
● Document simulation models, assumptions, and results.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
● Strong hands-on experience with FlexSim simulation software.
● Experience building production line simulations and plant layout models.
● Understanding of manufacturing systems and industrial processes.
● Ability to model discrete event simulations.
● Experience analyzing production throughput, bottlenecks, and resource utilization.
● Knowledge of 3D simulation environments and manufacturing modeling techniques.

Manufacturing Knowledge
● Understanding of:
○ production lines
○ material handling systems
○ conveyors and automated equipment
○ warehouse or factory operations

Data & Technical Skills (Preferred)
● Experience integrating simulation models with MES or ERP data.
● Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) such as Apriso.
● Basic scripting experience in FlexSim (FlexScript / C++ based).
● Experience with data analysis tools such as Python or Excel.

Preferred Background
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
○ Industrial Engineering
○ Manufacturing Engineering
○ Systems Engineering
○ Operations Research
○ Mechanical Engineering

Experience
● 5+ years of experience in manufacturing simulation or production modeling
● 3+ years of hands-on experience using FlexSim

Soft Skills
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Ability to translate real-world production processes into simulation models
● Strong communication skills to work with engineering and operations teams
● Ability to deliver training sessions and technical workshops

Nice to Have
● Experience with factory digital twin projects
● Experience with AGV, warehouse automation, or logistics simulations
● Experience with other simulation tools (AnyLogic, Siemens Plant Simulation, Arena)
