Summary

Title: Sr. IoT/LoRaWan integration Engineer

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Location: Remote

Work Schedule: 40 hours no OT expected

Project Details:

Required

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IoT systems engineering, with demonstrated depth in wireless protocol implementation
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying LoRaWAN solutions: network server configuration, device onboarding, channel planning, and MAC layer behavior
  • Proficiency in application firmware development (C/C++) for embedded IoT devices
  • Experience integrating IoT device data into cloud platforms via MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, or similar
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals relevant to LoRaWAN deployments (link budget, spreading factor selection, interference)
  • Comfortable working across embedded, network, and cloud layers of an IoT stack

LoRaWAN Integration

  • Lead evaluation and selection of LoRaWAN network server solutions, including on-premise and cloud-hosted options
  • Design and implement the end-to-end LoRaWAN integration architecture across embedded devices, gateway, network server, and cloud application layers
  • Own LoRaWAN channel plan definition, device provisioning, and join/session management
  • Develop and maintain application firmware integration for LoRaWAN-connected devices, coordinating closely with the embedded firmware team
  • Drive bring-up, DVT, and production validation of LoRaWAN-enabled hardware platforms

Platform & Cloud Integration

  • Integrate LoRaWAN network server data into GridPoint s cloud platform (GECOS) and application firmware stack
  • Develop and maintain device management, OTA firmware update, and telemetry pipelines for wireless IoT devices
  • Collaborate with application firmware engineers on
