Overview
Our client is seeking a
Systems Engineer - State Estimation & Target Tracking to support the development and deployment of advanced sensor fusion and target tracking capabilities for next-generation multi-function RF systems.
In this role, you will contribute to the analysis, design, integration, and performance optimization of advanced radar and electronic surveillance systems. You will work across the system lifecycle, from requirements development and modeling through integration, testing, and field deployment in laboratory and flight test environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support target tracking, state estimation, adaptive processing, and sensor fusion capabilities for advanced RF systems.
- Analyze, process, and interpret data from radar, electronic surveillance, and other sensor modalities.
- Create parametric models, visualizations, and data-driven analyses to support requirements development and operational use cases.
- Support integration and testing activities in simulation environments, sensor laboratories, and flight test platforms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure system performance and mission effectiveness.
- Evaluate system performance and support incremental improvements to existing algorithms and capabilities.
- Utilize Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and other technical documentation to maintain and improve system functionality.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to balance performance objectives with broader system requirements.
- Perform technical analysis and support software modifications using MATLAB and C++.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or another STEM field with 8+ years of experience, OR
- Master's degree with 6+ years of experience, OR
- PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience with:
- Multi-target tracking algorithms
- Sensor fusion technologies
- Adaptive signal processing
- MATLAB or similar programming and analysis tools
- RF signal processing or RF-based applications
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance.
- Master's degree or PhD in a STEM discipline with coursework in radar systems, signal processing, or related fields.
- Prior experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs).
- Experience with advanced radar techniques and RF sensor systems.
