Introduction:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our cybersecurity initiatives. This pivotal role involves developing and executing comprehensive security strategies, managing risk, and ensuring the integrity of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for safeguarding digital assets and a proven track record in leading security teams within complex environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide information security strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across all systems and networks.
  • Oversee the management of security tools and technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, SIEM systems, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards including PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), NIST frameworks, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on system architecture design involving virtualization (VMware, vSphere), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and containerization (Docker).
  • Manage incident response planning and coordinate investigations into security breaches or vulnerabilities.
  • Lead vendor management for cybersecurity products and services while maintaining strong relationships with external partners.
  • Promote security awareness through training programs and continuous education initiatives for staff.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in information security management within complex IT environments.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware and vSphere.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including Cisco routers, LAN/WAN architecture, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP protocols, and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on expertise with security tools like SolarWinds, SCCM, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Citrix, and remote access software.
  • Deep understanding of compliance standards including PCI DSS and NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation; experience with SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) is essential.
  • Knowledge of application development processes (.NET, JavaScript, HTML) along with DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong leadership capabilities combined with excellent communication skills to articulate complex security concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects using tools like Microsoft Project while maintaining a focus on business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
