Modem Test Engineer

Our client has an immediate position as a Modem Test Engineer for a contract position.

Below are the details of the requirements.

Role: Modem Test Engineer.
Location: Mountain View, CA - Onsite
Contract: 6-9+ months.
Experience: 8+ years.

Mandatory Skills:
-Modem Chipset Or Mobile Device Testing.
-Modem Chipsets Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung, Intel etc
-Mobile devices iPhone, Samsung, LG, Moto, etc.
-Protocol testing
-Conformance testing
-Protocol level Testing
-Experience on Log Analysis and Debugging

Job Description:
-Bachelor s or master s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
-8+ years of hands-on testing experience in 5G/4G/3G Cellular modem chipset or device (UE) Protocol conformance, performance, and interoperability.
-Strong understanding of 3GPP and Carrier specifications for LTE and NR.
-Execute test plans targeting 5G NR and LTE L2/L3 protocol features (RLC, PDCP, MAC, RRC, NAS).
-Expertise in 3GPP/IMS Protocol call flows to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues in UE/network protocol interactions.
-Ability to isolate complex issues across multiple protocol layers and identify root causes using trace analysis tools.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead and drive testing activities.
-Hands-on experience with test equipment fF, PTCRB, Carrier certification (e.g., Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz).
-Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) testing experience is highly desirable.
