About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented
Corrosion & Integrity Engineer to support pipeline and asset integrity programs. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating corrosion-related risks, maintaining pipeline integrity systems, and implementing mitigation strategies that ensure the safe and reliable operation of pipeline infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in corrosion engineering, pipeline integrity management, Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments, and inspection data evaluation. Success in this role requires excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities - Monitor pipeline and equipment corrosion and implement effective mitigation programs.
- Develop, maintain, and update corrosion management strategies and integrity programs.
- Perform and support Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations for corrosion, dents, cracks, and other integrity-related features.
- Evaluate inspection and assessment results to determine repair, maintenance, and operational recommendations.
- Support pipeline integrity activities, including:
- Cathodic protection program implementation and monitoring
- Maintenance and repair of cathodic protection systems
- Pigging operations
- Pipeline service coordination
- In-Line Inspection (ILI) activities
- Conduct material investigations and integrity assessments.
- Ensure compliance with integrity management procedures, standards, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, supervisors, and operational stakeholders to support safe and reliable asset performance.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience performing Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations for:
- Corrosion
- Dents
- Crack features
- Experience utilizing industry-recognized methodologies and tools such as:
- API 579
- CorLAS
- RSTRENG
- MAT-8
- Equivalent FFS assessment methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of:
- In-Line Inspection (ILI)
- Direct Assessment (DA)
- Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) methods and practices
- Pipeline repair techniques and integrity assessment processes
- Ability to interpret assessment data and make sound engineering recommendations and decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.
Preferred Qualifications - NACE CP1 Certification highly preferred.
- Experience supporting corrosion control programs and pipeline integrity management systems.
- Knowledge of pipeline operations, inspection technologies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
