ASSYST is seeking a Network & Facilities Technician (Entry Level) to provide hands-on technical support and ensure smooth day-to-day facilities operations at our office in Sterling, VA(Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day user support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including setup, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and maintain Linux-based systems and assist with basic networking tasks.
- Support routine infrastructure operations such as backups, printer/copier management, and system monitoring.
- Track, manage, and reconcile IT and facility inventory (hardware, peripherals, supplies) to ensure availability and accuracy.
- Document internal procedures and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Serve as the first point of contact for facility-related issues, coordinating with vendors or building management as needed.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable office environment by addressing minor facility needs and escalating larger issues appropriately.
- Collaborate with technical leads and management to ensure smooth operations across IT and facility domains.
Requirements:
- Experience working with Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with computer hardware and peripherals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn under mentorship.
- Ability to balance technical support with facility-related responsibilities.
- U.S. Citizenship required, with ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
