We're looking for an IT Application Engineer who thrives in a hands on development environment and enjoys building, enhancing, and supporting business applications. This role partners closely with business teams to design solutions, streamline processes, and deliver high quality software that supports day to day operations.

What You'll Do
- End to end application development-from requirements and design to coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and functional solutions.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
- Conduct QA and user acceptance testing to ensure smooth adoption.
- Write and maintain documentation for users and IT operations.
- Support ongoing application maintenance, updates, and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high visibility projects.
- Stay current on development tools, emerging technologies, and best practices.
What You Bring
- Experience with:
- IBM Power Systems & IBM i (RPGLE)
- DB2, MS SQL Server, relational databases
- SQL development
- APIs (REST/XML/JSON)
- Software change management
- Bonus skills: C#, C++, PHP, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, EDI X12, EDIFACT
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non technical partners.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in fast moving environments.
- 6+ years in application development or architecture.
- Proven success delivering complex, high impact projects.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
