Sr IT Business Analyst
Location: Columbus, OH (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite; Monday & Friday remote)
Duration: Contract to hire (6 months +)
Overview
Seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to support medium to large IT projects. The role requires strong requirements gathering and management capabilities, hands-on process mapping experience, and familiarity with full SDLC delivery (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). The BA will lead stakeholder interviews and workshops, validate solutions, and support UAT.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements elicitation, documentation, and management activities ensuring end-to-end traceability
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, scope discussions, and solution validation
- Perform hands-on process mapping (As-Is, To-Be, Business Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping)
- Support and participate in the full SDLC using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
- Support and/or coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Business Analyst or business applications experience supporting medium to large IT projects
- Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, and requirements management skills
- Experience with process mapping techniques (As-Is, To-Be, Value Stream Mapping)
- Experience supporting the full SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Experience leading stakeholder interviews, workshops, scope discussions, and UAT
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience
- CCBA or CBAP certification
- Experience with Jira, qTest, or HP ALM
- RFI/RFP experience and vendor / service provider management experience
- Experience coaching or mentoring Business Analysts
- Experience with Hybrid Agile or iterative development practices
