What we re looking for

What you ll be doing

1. Collaborate with domain and enterprise architects to translate strategy into application and system designs
2. Design scalable, cloud-native applications and services using modern architecture patterns
3. Lead hands-on solution evaluations, prototypes, and proofs of concept, especially for initiatives involving AI, GenAI, and emerging technologies
4. Make informed architectural trade-offs based on business needs, performance, cost, and long-term maintainability
5. Contribute reusable patterns and documentation that support solution delivery across teams
6. Partner with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation aligned to design intent
7. Apply secure-by-design and DevSecOps principles to all architectural solutions
8. Stay informed on trends in cloud services, architecture frameworks, and GenAI tooling

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) Highlight Top 3-5 skills

1. 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience
2. 3+ years designing application or system architectures (regardless of job title)
3. Hands-on experience designing and building cloud-native solutions (preferably on AWS)
4. Experience with modern architecture styles: microservices, APIs, event-driven systems
5. Experience integrating or prototyping with AI/ML/GenAI services or platforms
6. Proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, Java, or C#
7. Strong ability to articulate technical solutions, trade-offs, and system behavior to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
8. Exposure to GenAI tools and frameworks (e.g., LLMs, vector databases, prompt orchestration, LangChain, Bedrock)
9. Familiarity with AWS AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend, Lex)

Added bonus if you have (Preferred):

1. Experience running architectural evaluations or vendor/tool assessments
2. AWS Solutions Architect certification
3. Financial Services experience
