A proprietary trading organization in Chicago is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support the infrastructure behind real-time trading platforms. This is a full-time, on-site role working with modern automation, containerized environments, and both Linux and Windows systems in a high-availability, low-latency environment.

This team operates at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, and financial markets. The DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring system reliability, improving automation, and solving complex technical problems that directly impact trading performance. Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, networking, and operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows environments
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages
  • Experience with containerization and automation tools
  • Comfort working in high-pressure, production environments
  • Ability to work on-site in Chicago
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience supporting low-latency or high-performance systems
  • Exposure to on-prem or co-located data center environments
  • Database administration experience
  • Observability and monitoring best practices
  • Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, or Parquet
  • Strong documentation habits and communication skills
